General Information: (C-54) Course Material

The Tile Manual: briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Estimating, Tools, Materials, General Work Requirements, Tiling Floors and Ceilings, Vertical Applications, Special Applications, and Stone Slab Fabrication and Installation. The manual also includes sections on Stair Construction and ADA Requirements. The last section of the Tile Manual covers the Health
and Safety Orders.

The Audio/Video Lectures: The Math Review Lecture covers the math formulas in the first part of the Tile manual. The Tile lecture covers the topics addressed in the manual specific to the C-54 trade exam. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Tile manual. The Tile Review Questions Lecture covers the Tile Review Questions in the back of the manual

The Tile Practice Exams: Please be sure that your students study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations.

It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

The C-54 Tile Contractor’s Computer-Assisted Practice Tests: load directly onto your computer. The program presents questions one at a time, automatically scores your exam, presents you with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer

General Information: Law and Business - Course Materials

The Law and Business Manual: is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.

The Law and Business Lectures: cover each chapter of the Law and Business Manual and the Law and Business Review questions in the back of the manual. All of the lectures are in both audio and video formats.
