General Information: (C-42) Course Material

The Excavation & Grading Handbook: Revised, by Nicholas Capachi is an essential part of the Sanitation Systems course. The Handbook and the accompanying Excavation and Grading lecture contain vital information for passing the State exam.

The Sanitation Systems Manual: briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including summaries of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Caltrans Standard Specifications. The last section of the Sanitation Systems Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.

The Law and Business Manual: is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.
