General Information

The HVAC Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Properties of Air and Water, Basic HVAC Formulas, Basic Electrical Formulas, Electrical and Insulating Materials, SCGC Standards, Fuels and Refrigerants, Mechanical Refrigeration, Plan and Circuit Symbols, Solar Energy, and Psychometric Charts. The manual also contains summaries of the Uniform Mechanical Code. The last section of the HVAC Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.

The Audio/Video Lectures: The Math Review Lecture covers the math formulas in the first part of the HVAC manual. The HVAC lecture covers the topics addressed in the manual specific to the C-20 trade exam. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the HVAC manual.

The HVAC Practice Exams: Please be sure that your students study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

General Information: Law and Business - Course Materials

The Law and Business Manual is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.

The Law and Business Lectures cover each chapter of the Law and Business Manual and the Law and Business Review questions in the back of the manual. All of the lectures are in both audio and video formats.
