General Information: (C-16) Course Materials

The Fire Protection Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Plan Symbols, Types of Sprinkler Systems, Hydraulics, and summaries from NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and NFPA 24. The last section of the Fire Protection Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.

The Audio/Video Lectures: The Math Review Lecture covers the math formulas in the first part of the Fire Protection manual. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Fire Protection manual.

The Fire Protection Practice Exams: Please be sure that you study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations.

It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

The C-16 Fire Protection Contractor’s Computer-Assisted Practice Tests are supplied on a computer disk which will load a software program onto your computer. The program presents questions one at a time, automatically scores the exam, presents you with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer.

General Information: Law and Business - Course Materials

The Law and Business Manual: is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.

The Law and Business Lectures: cover each chapter of the Law and Business Manual and the Law and Business Review questions in the back of the manual. All of the lectures are in both audio and video formats.
