General Information: (C-13) Course Materials

The Fencing Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Wood Fences, Wire Fences, Estimating Quantities, and summaries of CALTRANS Standard Specifications. The last section of the Fencing Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.

Audio/Video Lectures: The Fencing lecture covers the topics addressed in the manual specific to the C-13 trade exam and includes basic estimating practices. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Fencing manual.

Fencing Practice Exams: Please be sure that you study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

The C-13 Fencing Contractor’s Computer-Assisted Practice Tests load directly onto your computer. The program presents questions one at a time, automatically scores your exam, presents you with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer.

General Information: Law and Business - Course Materials

The Law and Business Manual is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.

The Law and Business Lectures cover each chapter of the Law and Business Manual and the Law and Business Review questions in the back of the manual. All of the lectures are in both audio and video formats.

Law and Business Practice Exams: Please be sure that you study all of the practice exams and the update. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations.
