General Information: (C-11) Course Materials

The Elevator Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Business Mathematics and Architectural Scale, Construction Safety Orders, and Elevator Safety Orders. The manual also includes summaries from the National Electrical Code and a Glossary.

Audio/Video Lectures: The Business Math and Architectural Scale lecture covers the first part of the Elevator manual. Please be sure that your students study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

The C-11 Elevator Contractor’s Computer-Assisted Practice Tests are supplied on a computer disk which will load a software program on the student’s computer. The program presents questions one at a time, automatically scores the exam, presents the student with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer.

General Information: Law and Business - Course Materials

The Law and Business Manual is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help prepare you for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher.

The Law and Business Lectures cover each chapter of the Law and Business Manual and the Law and Business Review questions in the back of the manual. All of the lectures are in both audio and video formats.
